When registering for a Pay by Plate account, you are required to provide a valid payment card acceptable to the Tollway to ensure timely payment of tolls matching to your account.Pay by Plate accounts are charged for tolls at the cash rate based on the number of vehicle axles and time of day.It cannot be used to pay tolls on any other toll roads, including but not limited to the Chicago Skyway. Your Pay by Plate account can only be used to pay for tolls on the Illinois Tollway System.Failure to correctly register a vehicle license plate on your Pay by Plate account may result in invoice fees and/or fines and penalties.You agree to bear all responsibility for maintaining current and accurate license plate(s) and other information on your Pay by Plate account.You agree to perform any account updates (such as vehicle additions or deletions, and payment card updates and other changes) necessary to keep your account information current and accurate. You agree that your Pay by Plate account is an entirely self-service account.You are responsible for any toll incurred on the Tollway during the specific period stated on your Pay by Plate account for the vehicle incurring the toll, regardless of the driver at the time of a toll is incurred.You may register multiple license plates on your Pay by Plate account. Your Pay by Plate account pays the tolls for vehicles registered on your account by license plate number, state or province of registration, and license plate type as selected by you on the account.By opening a Pay by Plate account, a patron agrees to the terms and conditions stated below. The Tollway will provide patrons with a Pay by Plate account under the terms stated in this Pay by Plate Agreement. Pursuant to this program, Tollway patrons who register for a Pay by Plate account within 14 days of traveling on Illinois Tollway roadways can pay tolls using their license plate information. Cash payments are only accepted at the PA Turnpike E‑ZPass Customer Service Center.The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority’s (Tollway) Pay by Plate program provides patrons with another method to pay tolls. Allow ten days for mail delivery and posting to your account. Mail payments to the PA Turnpike E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 300 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Check or money order should be made payable to the PA Turnpike and include your E-ZPass account number. To add funds to your account, customers can make payments online, through our mobile app, PA Toll Pay, by phone (1-87 and when prompted, say "Customer Service" then select 1) or mail. This option requires you to replenish your account balance when it reaches a cumulative value of $15 or less per transponder ($15 x # of Transponders). The minimum amount required to establish a manual account is $48 ($10 for a transponder deposit, $35 for tolls, and $3 for the annual fee) for each transponder added to the account. This option requires a transponder deposit. The replenishment amount will be increased if an account replenishes more than two times a month. This option authorizes the PA Turnpike to charge the payment card listed on your account a minimum of $35 per transponder when your account balance reaches a cumulative value of $10 or less per transponder. THIS OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE IF YOU APPLY ONLINE.Īn initial payment of $35 per transponder plus a $3 annual fee is required to open your account. The replenishment amount will be increased if an account replenishes more than three times a month. ($10 x # of Transponders) NO DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED. This replenishment takes place whenever your account balance reaches a cumulative value of $10 or less per transponder. This option authorizes the PA Turnpike to initiate debit entries from your bank account for a minimum of $35 per transponder. (Please include a voided check along with your payment. An initial payment of $35 per transponder plus a $3 annual fee is required to open your account.
